Inner Hearth is a three day Dance Medicine and Embodiment Immersion, a journey of resourcing and stoking your inner fire in community.
In mid winter we gather to remember the warmth that never leaves - the quiet fire at the center of our being, the ember that glows beneath the surface of all things. We will explore how our body and heart can be a source of renewal and activation, a hearth that we can return to again and again.
Together we will create a living hearth, a circle of warmth in the cold of the season, a place to be witnessed and held, to dance our prayers and our tenderness, to rekindle connection with self, earth, and one another.
This weekend immersion combines the powerful tools of conscious dance and shamanic practices to guide you on a path of self-discovery, healing, connection to your true essence, and to the rhythms of life.
The teachings of the 5Rhythms® movement practice and Inner Journeys will support you in accessing a deep state of embodiment, allowing your body to express itself freely and authentically. Movement combined with breathwork becomes a language of the soul, releasing blockages, reconnecting you with your inner wisdom, and fostering a sense of vitality and presence.
A simple movement-based community ritual will integrate the teachings of the weekend, honouring the body as a vessel of transformation and connection.
Participants will leave the weekend with:
A renewed sense of warmth, vitality, and inner balance.
Practical somatic and breath-based tools for ongoing self-care and regulation.
A felt experience of belonging and support through shared movement and ritual.
Inspiration to continue engaging the body as a sacred ally in personal transformation.
A deeper trust in the cyclical nature of life — the capacity to rest, rekindle, and rise again.
This workshop is for anyone seeking a deeper connection with themselves, a sense of freedom, and a path to healing. No prior experience in dance or shamanic work is required, just an open heart and a willingness to explore.

Cancellations:
A refund less a $50 processing fee will be issued if written notice is received by January 23rd, 2026.
A 50% refund will be issued if written notice is received by January 30th, 2026.
No refund will be issued for cancellations after January 30th, 2026 unless a replacement can be found.
If this workshop needs to be cancelled/postponed, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded to participants. It is not possible to cover travel or accommodation costs incurred by participants.

BIO:
Kylee Dawn is a mother and a multi-faceted entrepreneur: she is a Métis Cree artist, photographer, DJ, Inner Journeys Dance founder, breathwork facilitator, ceremonialist, event producer and studio owner living in Mohkinstis - Calgary, AB. Growing up in Treaty 7 territory, Kylee Dawn has an affinity toward prairie forests, the peaceful coulees, and wide open skies. Her life's work is to build community and create safe spaces for individuals to explore their uniqueness. Naturally, the intention to sense and experience the full expression of who we are is consciously woven into all of her offerings.

Bio Bettina Rothe
Bettina Rothe is passionate about igniting one's connection to the intelligence of the body. She is an embodied leadership coach, 5Rhythms® movement facilitator, trained psychologist and pioneer in the field of somatic intelligence. Bettina supports clients in the development of an authentic leadership presence that is powerful, compassionate and self-aware.
She has been on the shamanic medicine path for 25 years and has recently completed her training as a Psychedelic Assisted Therapist. She is currently deepening her work through the addition of plant medicines into some of her programs, as well as holding ceremonies.
Bettina offers weekly group classes, individual sessions, workshops and retreats in North America, Central America and Europe. She creates a safe and playful environment for the exploration of creativity, human connection, and personal growth. She lives and dances in Vancouver, BC.

We gather at a turning of the wheel, as the medicine of the Snake gives way to the fire born Horse. In this passage, we honour the old skins that have served their purpose and the flames that beckon us forward.
The Serpent teaches us to listen through bone and spine, to sense what is true beneath the surface. It invites us into instinct, into slow heat, into the ancestral wisdom that lives within the coils of the body.
The Fire Horse arrives with heart and thunder. It calls us to gallop into vision, to claim what is ours to carry, and to move with courage toward our becoming. The Horse reminds us that freedom is not an escape but a choice, and that the fire of destiny is lit from within.
Through movement, music, and shared ceremony, we walk this threshold together:
This is an embodied experience. No words are required. No prior experience needed. Only willingness to enter, listen, and allow the body to reveal.

After the solstice, the days slowly lengthen, but winter still holds its ground. February exists in an in-between state—where the cold remains, yet something beneath it has begun to move. Not ignition, not release, but presence.
Embers in the Dark sits within this moment of emergence. Like warmth held beneath ash, energy persists quietly—contained, resonant, and deliberate. The music explores tension and union, rhythm and restraint, moving between spacious, hypnotic, and ecstatic states. It is an invitation into motion, emotion, and late-night alchemy, guided by depth of sound and intention.
Powered by Ionic Sound Systems, the dance floor becomes a field of sustained heat and full-spectrum vibration—a place to dissolve into sound and let movement unfold naturally. This is not about spectacle or excess, but about atmosphere, connection, and the subtle intelligence of psytrance as a living system.

As the days draw shorter and the darkness deepens, we are invited inward. “Moving Towards Solstice” is a three week ecstatic dance journey into the fertile mystery of transition — a time to soften, listen, and let the body reveal what is ready to emerge.
Each week we gather in intentional space to move, breathe, and reconnect with the wisdom that lives within our bones. Guided by music and somatic invitation, we explore how cyclical change moves through us — release, reflection, renewal.
Experience embodied movement, ecstatic dance, somatic release, conscious breathwork, intentional soundscapes and sweet stillness. Deepen into Self and be a part of a vibrant community.
This series is designed to support you in aligning with the natural energy of the season — stepping into winter not with resistance, but with reverence.
No experience necessary. All bodies and backgrounds welcome.

As the days draw shorter and the darkness deepens, we are invited inward. “Moving Towards Solstice” is a three week ecstatic dance journey into the fertile mystery of transition — a time to soften, listen, and let the body reveal what is ready to emerge.
Each week we gather in intentional space to move, breathe, and reconnect with the wisdom that lives within our bones. Guided by music and somatic invitation, we explore how cyclical change moves through us — release, reflection, renewal.
Experience embodied movement, ecstatic dance, somatic release, conscious breathwork, intentional soundscapes and sweet stillness. Deepen into Self and be a part of a vibrant community.
This series is designed to support you in aligning with the natural energy of the season — stepping into winter not with resistance, but with reverence.
No experience necessary. All bodies and backgrounds welcome.

“Timelines of Self”. This is an invitation to dive deep into the medicine of the Dance, become the Dance and explore the multi faceted gifts this movement brings. Receive keys to inspire you to go beyond. When we let go of the perception of what we think we know, we open ourselves to new possibilities.
Experience somatic embodiments, dance medicine ecstatic dance, breathwork, sound, stillness and story-telling. The perfect way to step into Autumn 2025!
Kylee Dawn has dedicated her life’s work to the Dance. With the Dance as her Master Teacher, and her decades of experience and training, she offers guidance, knowledge, personal experience, rituals and ceremonies to support the dancers to deepen.

This summer, as Kylee Dawn was walking with her Father and Auntie through the rolling hills of their ancestor's land, the land gifted them the old skin of a bull snake.
Kylee Dawn has sat a whole season listening to this shedding, and it has inspired this medicine dance ceremony to come to life.
Please join us on Saturday, September 20th, 2025 for a special Inner Journeys’ dance ceremony to honour Autumn Equinox.

3-days of music featuring pillars of Alberta and British Columbia's dance music scene all heard on the crystal clear high fidelity Ionic Sound System.
